MINDEFECT TAKES FIRST IN LG RALLY FOR MUSIC

Mindefect, out of Galesburg, Illinois, takes first place out of some 1800 bands. The contest, LG Rally For Music, took the top 50 bands and started an online voting competition.The fans stepped in, voting only once daily, to take Mindefect to a solid second. Days later they were in fourth place. OUCH! The Mayor of Galesburg steps in to make awareness of this event, by declaring July 9th, 2008 official "MINDEFECT DAY" with only ONE day left to vote and Mindefect sitting in fourth.Hopes were high, as were the stakes. If they could just hold that fourth place spot, they would make it to NY for a chance at $15,000Clock was ticking and new fans and friends popped up at every refresh of the computer. AMAZING! 11 o clock hits and NOTHING has changed on the home page. We check the Mindefect page and it reads "ranked number 1" but the front page had remained with them sitting at fourth.SCREAMS fill the house... people are driving by in the dark night screaming MINDEFECT!!!!!!!!!!! at our house!The Laser (92.7fm) crew rolls up into our front yard with asti spumante (it isnt cheap as we found out LOL) in hand and music pumping through the neighborhood......THE REST IS HISTORY!Congrats to Mindefect for ALL of the accomplishments.
