Taj Mahal is an all time love story. This is the first time that a theatre piece is conceived on Taj Mahal and Ravindran Drama Group is proud to present it to our Singaporean audience as part of its 20th Anniversary. Taj Mahal is an inspiring piece of work that takes us back to the Mogul period during the 16th century. This period play is created to depict the episodes of various characters in showcasing the respect for Shah Jahan and Mumtaz, the intricacies of relationship and the ploys to supersede one another politically. The Mogul period is best known for its Hindustani and Persian music influence in North India and Kathak types of dance were a great favourite among the kings. This play attempts to show these aspects culturally and creatively.
