Gordon Lightfoot was born on Nov-17-1938. in Orillia Ontario Canada. To Jessica Lightfoot and Gordon Meredith Lightfoot. As a youth he sang in a choir at St. Pauls. United Church. During this time as a boy soprano Lightfoot made Several Appearances on Local Radio. As well as the Kiwanis Music Festival. as a teenager Lightfoot Studied piano And taught himself drums and percussion intruments. Lightfoot studied Jazz composition and Orchestration at Hollywoods Westlake College Of Music. Lightfoot gained recognition as a writer for 2 songs he wrote called (For loving me & Early morning rain). that was recorded by (ian and sylvia tyson). from there Lightfoots skyrocket to fame did not take long as well we know... Truly a Canadian Legend......heres the song Called SUNDOWN
