© 2007 Wondell WallaceA song I wrote and produced for my FiFi.The Son Has Made You Free from her forthcoming album "Unify" Producer: Wondell WallaceWritten by: Wondell WallaceInstrumentation - Percussive Programming: Feel of UpHill Music (High School buddy of mine)Synths and Keyboards: Feel of UpHill MusicBanjo: 1dell aka Wondell WallaceBass Guitar: 1dell aka Wondell WallaceVocals: My FiFiBackground Vocals: 1dellThis is a post production pre Master mix. I'm currently remixing this song as we speak. I'm only uploading this to Youtube for video hosting. I'll take the code and embed the video elsewhere to save server space. ;-)However if the Youtube crowd can appreciate my art, then so be it.Some may ask - Whats up with the Pirate get up Wondell. LOL. Well I have a love for all things Pirate. Ever since I was a child. It wasn't until I became an adult that I innerstood why. After doing some research I've discovered that Pirates were the salvation for MANY African Slaves coming to the caribbean and americas. Pirate ships would intercept some slave ships and of course rob them. lol. But they would either release the slaves, man them hands on their ships. Where many Africans became high ranking officials and even Commodores of their own fleets. And yes, certain Pirates would actually sale the slaves themselves. When you're in the entertainment industry you look for certain things that will separate you from the pack. I be DAYUM if I'm gonna wear a wife beater and pants under my ass. Nah, just cuz I'm black don't mean I have to look, act and be like a thug. To our race was given the Oracles of the Most High. We've been given a Higher Calling. I've always been one to rebel against the Machine. Pirates represent those who are brave enough go against the regime of the Empire. Those who refuse to be oppressed by the mandates of Empirical Social Strata. Not all pirates were bad. But of course, since we are reading history rewritten thru the quill of this present empire, everything good is made bad and everything bad is made good. Selah: Ponder upon said pontifications.
