This is also a song that my mother requested. Incidentally, many people have told me they want me to sing this at their funeral. I'm like "Gee, okay..." There was a man I used to go to church with, though I barely knew him at all. But he enjoyed me singing this song a lot. There came a time when he had to have major surgery, and he requested I sing this song if he didn't make. And as it turned out, he didn't make it. Let me tell you, even for someone I barely knew, this is a hard song to get through at a funeral, let alone simply in church. I rather hope I die before all the people who have requested this of me. They can sing it at my funeral instead. :D This is far from my best performance. I botched the ending note, and the vocal is rough. But I still believe it can be beneficial to the listener. Besides, I don't want to record it again. It's difficult, dang it.:) I hope you're blessed.I dreamed of a city called GloryAnd it was so bright and so fairAs I entered the gates, I cried "Holy!"The angels all met me thereThey carried me from mansion to mansionAnd oh, the sights I sawBut I said I want to see JesusThe one who died for allThen I bowed on my knees and cried"Holy, Holy, Holy!"I clapped my hands and sang"Glory, Glory to the son of God!"When I entered the gates of that cityAll my loved one, they knew me wellThey took me down the streets of HeavenThe scenes too many to tellI saw Abraham, there was Jacob and IsaacTalked with Mark, sat down with TimothyOh, but I said, "Timothy,I want to see Jesus'Cause He's the one who died for me!"
