The Twangy Twangers in our first performance. Apologies for the poor quality of sound at the introductions, but the music can be heard nicely. Don't be put off by the dreadful twanging at the beginning, it was a joke devised by the children, and is not our first piece! We formed only two terms ago, and I am extremely proud of the children's achievement. When we started, our ensemble skills were almost non-existant, we had to do alot of work on playing together in time with each other. But here we are successfully performing in front of an audience of over 200! A few nervous errors by me, but the children were great! There are 6 children with me on stage, but only 5 are visible as we had to use one school music stand, sorry Jordan! A big thankyou to Derek Hasted, of the Hampshire Guitar Orchestra (www.hago.org.uk) for his advice, encouragement and inspiration, without whom I would not have even thought the Twangy Twangers would be possible. All the music is from the ABRSM copper music medal book.
