The popularity and strong following of this cinematographic form reflect its great appeal and relevance.We made the film completely on our own just two independent creators in the most underground and difficult conditions imaginable. We wrote, produced, acted in, filmed and edited everything by ourselves without any external support or funding.As a result of the overwhelming media exposure which we received, we were finally rewarded with the support of the Israeli Film Fund. Today we are delighted and proud to see our private creation on the big screen!We strongly believe in a different kind of filmmaking which speaks in an authentic voice and strives not for Hollywood, but for the attention of the Israeli public in whose language we speak. All of our ideas are drawn from the social reality in which we find ourselves. Our film was shot in its authentic environment rather than in studios and the extras in the film are all real people in their natural context. In this way, we have managed to form a strong identification between the audience and our film and its characters.Tni Siman Haim drew its inspiration from a real event which made headlines recently, that of Amos Baranes. The film bravely exposes the corruption in Israeli courts and the truth about the police-force which is used merely as a puppet by the court system. The film poignantly cries out with the outrage of the simple citizen trying to prove his innocence in the face of the establishment.Awareness of independent cinema in Israel is constantly growing. Increasing numbers of people are coming to recognize the importance of the Israeli film genre at whose forefront we stand. We are proud of the fact that we succeeded in creating Tni Siman Haim on our own, with such a small budget and without any support whatsoever.
