The Pizza Place is an exciting restaurant, just a stone's throw from the Hudson River, smack in the middle of the beautiful and lively downtown waterfront section of Yonkers, NY, a city on the rise. The Pizza Place is owned by Ronald Masciandaro, whose creativity and artistry is evident in not only the enlivening ambience, high ceilings, walls with murals, and gorgeous music lifting the spirits of friendly staff and customers, but also evident in the delicious dishes of a wide variety of pizza, soups, salads dinners, wedges, pasta and side orders. On 7/3/08, I (Frank Sisco) stopped by with my wife Lorrie and daughter Kelly, planning to see my friend Nathaniel Goldberg (Papahawk) play and sing jazz with three others, only to find out I was a week early. Yet, I heard from outside The Pizza Place the piano keys being played wonderfully by a smiling man on the other side of the window, later to find out it was the owner Ron.
