Matteo's Graduation Video

Added: Dec 4, 2008

Author: contactjt

Duration: 3:39

This video was made over two days using a desktop computer installed with Windows Movie Maker. It combines original photography by Matteo Cullen (mostly taken on Panasonic Lumix FZ27) and original music by Kieran Kelly (recorded on Cubase), with exceprts from well-known Japanese anime. The film was edited and produced by Jenny O' Brien at Tiaquin Studios, Athenry, Galway. Jenny also assisted with music production. This film is a congratulatory message for graduating Junior and Senior High School students in Kyoto, Japan, where Matteo lived, 2004-7. It's a 'thank you' to the many students (and teachers) I met there for the great times I had, and an acknowledgement of their talent and energy. It is also a challenge to them to embrace their new lives with verve and dedication. It combines English and Japanese languages, which signifies cultural exchange. Best of luck to all the kids at Doda High School of Arts, Hiyoshigaoka High School, Saikyo Junior High School and Fushimi Technical High School as they take the next step in their lives.
