This was an assignment from my final year at Liverpool Hope University (BA Combined in Music: Music Technology.We were asked to compose a single source acousmatic piece of music to a scene from a film of our choice. Our tutor had some scenes already available for us to choose from and I ended up using a scene from the film Nosferatu: Phantom der Nacht 1979. I chose this scene for it's intensity and I don't think any of the other students had used it before, so thought I'd give it a go. I decided to use glass as my single sound source. It was pretty cool to work with, the rubbing of wine glasses can be quite relaxing(as I found out) but it was difficult to record.I entitled the piece, 'Blood Lust'.
