Ever since I heard "Maggie May" by Rod Steward back in '71 I have just loved the sound of the mandolin. I have never come around to owning one and it seems that I never have had the opportunity to learn to play one.Today I went out and bought my very first normal capo. It is a lovely thing from my favorite maker of capos. What I discovered is that if I strap it on very high up on the neck I get that tingling mandolin sound. So I played around with different tunings and this is what finally came out.
