I saw no other way of honoring the spirit of the film.Franz Bieberkopf (played by the film's director, Rainer Werner Fassbinder) is a working-class gay man who wins the lottery but is usurped in every area of his life by lying duplicitous social-climbing thieves who pretend they are his friends. I made this today, however, for my true YouTube friends - one last video, one last example of what I can do, and because it presented itself like providence.The extraordinary cinematography is by master cameraman Michael Ballhaus.The music, strange bedfellow here, is "One Thing Leads To Another" by my favorite band, the Darling Buds.
