ok Here's Part One!------------------------------I know most of you know me as some kids story that is about a paragraph long, but I different than what most people judge me for; the klutz- Humpty Dumptey. I don't even know how I got the name Humpty Dumptey, my name's Frank. No similarities what-so-EVER! Anyways, I have right to imply that I am not just a klutz, but excused of murder... now probably most of you out there are laughing because of this book's ridiculousness, well it should get better, I promise, but back to the story. I was sitting on my couch watching my favorite television show, the cooking channel. Now I certainty love to cook, more than anything, well except for making eggs, and Rachel Jay had started making chicken with a cilantro finish. Oooh, if only you could smell it, it smelled so heavenly. Well, I had almost finished cooking the chicken when I heard a knock on my door. Naturally, I went to the door to see who it was. I paused my Tivo and went to open the door. "Frank, you're late!! The meeting started thirteen minutes ago. Come on!" Quickly, I turned off the stove and grabbed my jacket. I was gone within a split second. I always kept everything organized and neat so I knew where it was. Well, sometimes. "Ahh, Frank, you're late, do come and sit down and finish the last four minutes of our special meeting. Glad to see you could come, we were getting kind of worried." Mr. Gatesmen, my boss who was indeed a fox, glared at me with sharp eyes while talking. "We'll talk later." He nodded and I did too. The whole room was staring at me for about two minutes when Jeremy, my friend who reminded me of the meeting itself, did a little cough and talk action. "Achem, Presentation, cough cough. Excuse me." He patted his chest. "Oh right." A couple laughs came from the crowd of about nine or ten. I plugged my memory chip into the laptop. "Um, as you, um, can see, uh, prices on our toys have gone up because of shipping to different, uh, regions, gee, uh is it hot in here?" Again a couple coughs came from the crowd of about nine or ten and I continued with the presentation. I HATED giving public or private speeches. About three and a half minutes later, we all had gotten ready to go home and Mr. Gatesmen told me to sit down. "So what all of a sudden makes you so special to show up later than the others, hum?" I looked down at my hands. "Frank," His voice got calmer. "You have got to get a cap on this late thing. We can't always count on Jeremy to come and remind you." I looked up. "FIX IT, OR..." His voice got lower "or... you're fired from this area. We will put you on a different position for All the King's Men Inc, are we clear." I nodded, even though it was tough, loosing my job, I was the hardest working man in my area; I just had time and speech issues. I was the last person out. Jeremy had been waiting for me the whole time. "How'd it go?" He asked optimistically. He was a bunny rabbit for heaven's sake, he had to be optimistic. "Mr. Gatesmen threatened to fire me." Jeremy shrugged. Maybe you should find something you never can be late to. Like him!" Jeremy pointed to the look out boy on the top of the wall. "He never leaves; I'd never see you..." I said to Jeremy. "Trust me. If I had a friend who did look out duty for horse traffic, I would visit them every spare time I had." At that moment, I think he was trying to imply that I indeed should look into it. "I'll sleep on it. I promise I'll have the answer by tomorrow." Jeremy nodded and went off to his burrow. Maybe it would be better. Money wise. I would get twice the money and I could buy a bigger apartment. Or even a house. And all I'd have to do is sit on a dumb old brick wall all day and look for traffic.-1- The next morning, I decided to get up early and take a look from the 29 ft. wall. I was never one for being afraid of heights. It was about 5:30; a half an hour before I usually got up. The town looked so different when the sun wasn't up. Dumptsville was always one of the most beautiful communities I think I had ever been to. I opened my vest pocket and took out my phone. 5:43. Still early, but Jeremy was always on his walk at this time. I decided to text him. Pause the story, I know you're probably thinking that this takes place in the 17 hundreds, well it doesn't, just think of it as your time... Continue.Egghead42 (me): I've almost made up my mind.Fluffybutt101 (Jeremy): 'bout what?Egghead42: I'm gonna sit on the wall and see the view. Maybe I will like it enough to get the job.Fluffybutt101: careful man.
