Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra Plays one of the most famous composition of Johann Strauss, "Kaiser Waltz(Kaiserwaltzer)", under the direction of Herbert Von Karajan. Recorded for Polydor in 1952.I have lots of LPs done by Karajan, but this is the only one 78rpm record of him which I have.Karajan was one of my favorite conductors when I started to listen Classical music seriously, but as my ears became familiar to the pre-WW2 performers, now I don't like his performances as I used to be. His interpretation is too heavy and somewhat too dramatic.Played on my Numark turntable.
