(Cloverfield Overture)Artist: Michael GiacchinoAlbum: Unknown---------Created: 7/13/08: (1 of 5): This is second part and first of five music videos I've created, so far, for the film CLOVERFIELD. Despite the general public opinion and perception of the film, it really is amazing and the most original thing in terms of a Monster Movie to come out in the recent years. I really hope Paramount Pictures doesn't mine my posting this video on YouTube. I'll keep this description short this time. When I started this I originally had picked John Williams' "Escape From the City" from WAR OF THE WORLDS (2005), but for some reason I wasn't feeling the initial flow the video like I had imagined it in my head so I scrapped it. Then I decided to use the theme of for film itself, "ROAR!". Now all that it came down to was using either the 9:50 version or the 12:17 iTunes release. Ultimately I ended up using the version from the end credits, because if I used the 12:17 version I would have to split the video into parts which was not something I was looking forward to doing. Anyhow, song pretty much speaks for itself; A romantic combination of foreboding doom and hope all rolled into more epic piece composed by Michael Giacchino himself. I hope you enjoy.
