The Wysburg.A small castle near the small town of Weisbach in Thüringen, Germany.After being abandoned because it's function as a border post has ceased to be relevant, it was used as a headquaters by a pack of renegade knights who plundered the nearby traderoutes.In the 13th century Emperor Rudolf II of Hapsburg ordered the the castle to be destroyed. A blide or trebuchet was used to compromise the formidable defenses.After the knights where removed from the castle the walls where taken down.Large gaps where cut in the walls and replaced with wood that could easily burn. After the gaps where filled with all sorts of material and was lit, the Wooden supports burned and where crushed by the weight of the wall.The 1 meter thick, 10 meter high stone walls fell over like dominoes and left the castle useless for future renegades to use for protection.In 1986 the excavation began at the site and the stone balls used to attack the walls where found. 21 years later much more is known about the site.
