The Florida Arts Festival is aimed at whetting the community's appetite for the soon-to-be menu of a new arts center, poised to be the anchor for arts and culture in a reviving downtown Fort Myers.The performances in classical music, song, dance and jazz will be at the Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center at First and Jackson streets.As part of the festival the artists visit the local schools and at-risk programs to continue the Art Center's mission to inspire the youth of our community for the arts.

I started a program called Urban Arts this summer. We held 3 weeks of day camp that focused on performing and visual arts. At-risk kids came at no or little cost to the camp. It was a great time!
