Monique Morelli est née Monique Dubois à Béthune, le 19 décembre 1923. Elle vit et meurt à Montmartre le 27 avril 1993. Entre temps, elle chante... Elle crée en 1962 son cabaret, le Père Ubu, où elle accueille Brigitte Fontaine, Colette Magny, et bien d'autres.Filmographie Elle n'hésite pas à se produire au théâtre, à jouer sous la direction d'Abel Gance (Valmy, en 1967).En 1972, elle jouera le rôle de "La Carline" dans le feuilleton telévisé Mandrin de Philippe Fourastié. Elle chantera d'ailleurs la chanson du générique (une adaptation de la complainte de Mandrin).DiscographieElle interprète les plus grands poètes, de Pierre Mac Orlan à Louis Aragon, et donne sa voix à l'affiche rouge.ActualitéEn 2005, le peintre et graveur Henri Landier, qui fut son ami, présenta à l'Atelier d'Art Lepic de nombreuses œuvres inspirées par Monique Morelli.Albert Vidalie lui a dédié une chanson: "Les filles de Béthune", et bien d'autres, car il fut son ami.
