[Watch it in high quality by pressing in the right lower corner.] In this holiday season, I look at the gift of NOW. The program was inspired by some segments of my recently released video, Word Salad: Creativity and Madness with Foxes, Deer, Ducks and Chickens. The poems set the stage for this one-man conceptual show. Some are serious, others comic, some rap and some rapture. The multi-media art works, like the poems, are multi-layered suggesting multiple meanings. In this my creative NOW, I am exploring text, texture, lift-offs, collage and graphics, and gift-wrapping it to you.You are invited to a reception of the artist at the Andrew J. Macky Gallery on the University of Colorado campus in Boulder, Friday, December 12, 2008 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Trying to play a perfect game of Dodge "EmTree Wave's performance will combine electronic pop generated by retro-computers such as the Commodore 64 with imagery reflective of the Atari age of video games. A Dallas based band, Tree Wave makes shoegazy pop music and video using obsolete computer and videogame gear from the 1970's and '80's, accompanied by female vocals. They perform regularly at festivals and new media venues throughout the US and Europe. Tree Wave's latest CD, Cabana EP+, released last year, has received a flood of positive reviews. www.treewave.com
