The Beatles - Love You ToCopyright - 1966 EMI Records Ltd."Love You To" is a song by The Beatles from the album Revolver. It is sung and written by George Harrison and features a tabla, an Indian drum played with the hands, as well as a sitar and a tamboura drone. Ringo Starr is the only other Beatle playing on the song, shaking a tambourine. Paul McCartney originally recorded background vocals for the song, but those were left out of the final mix.It was the first Beatles song that seriously attempted to incorporate classical Indian music. Harrison was learning the sitar from Ravi Shankar, who inspired him to learn more about Indian music and Eastern religion. The working title of the song was "Granny Smith."A brief portion of the song was included in The Beatles animated film Yellow Submarine when Harrison's character is first introduced.Recorded Abbey Road Studios11 April 1966 Lyrics: Each day just goes so fast I turn around, it's past You don't get time to hang a sign on me Love me while you can Before I'm a dead old man A life time is so short A new one can't be bought But what you've got means such a lot to me Make love all day long Make love singing songs Make love all day long Make love singing songs There's people standing round Who'll screw you in the ground They'll fill you in with all their sins, you'll see I'll make love to you If you want me to
