It is the imagery of Ibn Al-Zaqqâq's verses that inspire Luis Delgado for his own musical recitation, El Sueño de Al-Zaqqâq (The Dream of Al-Zaqqâq).and as producer Luis Delgado sets the works of twelfth century Moorish poet Ibn Al-Zaqqâq into music.Delgado plays on traditional Arabic instruments such as the santur and tar, which gives the music an exotic touch while complementing the singing of Aurora Moreno and Mohame El Arabi Serghini, the principal vocalists.Luis Delgado has published 20 solo albums and 29 albums as a member of various groups, produced more than 40 works and participated in more than 100 recordings.In 1997 he started to work with Arabic-Andalusian poetry of the Spanish middle Ages. He dedicated the first album of that series to the work of Al-Zaqqq, who inspired him to compose twelve themes, five vocal and seven instrumental pieces.
