The inspiration for the performance comes from the movies of Ron Fricke and Godfrey Reggio. They were the founders of 70mm films like Baraka, the Qatsi trilogie and Anima Mundi. Necesidades was filmed during journey from Moscow tot Tokyo. From this material a foundation for a performance was made. Contrasts come alive when musician's and vj's improvise directed by Hans Timmermans and using his music and images as their source for creative expression. Interaction and atmosphere are important elements and fundamental aspects within the compositions of Hans Timmermans
