Hey. New "How to Play" videos will be coming soon, but for now, here is some music that I have been listening to lately. Let me know what you think of it.#1. Andrew Bird - "Scythian Empires" from the album Armchair Apocrypha.(He puts on one of the most interesting live shows I have ever seen. I saw him open for Bright Eyes in Kalamazoo. Bird uses looping pedals and plays several instruments, looping them over one another. He whistles a lot too!)#2. Black Kids - "I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance With You" from the album Partie Trumatic. (The singer reminds me of Davey Havok from A.F.I. Otherwise they are a cool dance orientated pop group)3. Chad VanGaalen - "Willow Tree" from the album Soft Airplane. (I downloaded this song from iTunes. It was the Free Song of the Week September/27/2008. You can probably still get it. Its folky and nice. Oh ya, and he's Canadian.)4. Koufax - "Going to Happen" from the album It Had To Do With Love. (I first heard Koufax on a Vagrant Records sampler a few years ago. I recently rediscovered them when I read that they released a new album entitled Strangers. This song is catchy as hell.)5. The Rapture - "Gotta Get Myself Into It" from the album Pieces of the People We Love. (This is another catchy pop/indie/danceable group. If you liked the Black Kids song, you will probably like this song too)
