Carmageddon II: Carpocalypse Now: This game is one of the greatest video games of all time...It came out in 1998, when most computers were still before "3D accelerators" and required software to render.Today: thanks to the advent of API wrappers, I was able to capture some of the finer moments of morbid life-ending mechanical gore to dozens of God's hapless souls...The folks and Stainless saw potential in making this game render through hardware (namely, the 3DFX chipset .. or "GLIDE") -- which allowed them to ignore the limitations brought on by CPU downtime and concentrate on GAMEPLAY.As you can see. Many small (and large) animals were hurt during the making of this video.
