Monologue of the old workerNow I'm under the sun. But until now I worked fifty years without rest. I ate the bread sweating day after day a continuous work. I spent time with the salary of Saturday, Came the spring, the winter came. I gave the flower of my effort to the boss and my youth. I have nothing. The boss is rich, i am the cause , I, cause him, I am old. Certainly, the boss owes me all he haves. I do not owe anything to the bossnot even the sun now that I am taking. in same time that I'm under the sun, I am waiting.Poema: Monólogo do vello traballador (Celso Emílio Ferreiro) Longa Noite de Pedra.Pucho Boedo (Corunha (Galiza)) 1928 - January 26 1986) was a singer considered a myth of the Galician song and a member of the musical group Los Tamara. Pucho Boedo born in Ventorrilho, in 1928. He was son of Xosé Boedo, a member of the CNT [anarchist trade union], murdered at 1936, when Pucho was nine years old. A year after his brother Jose Antonio Nunez Boedo was also shot. Another brother, Manuel Boedo, with sixteen years, managed to flee. Over time two brothers get together again. At the end of the 40's Radio Juventud he began singing in the kiosko Alfonso. He won a contest and was signed by the band Los Trovadores, Alfonso Saavedra. Everyone was thrilled with his voice. It was professional, to the top with this group, and then with Os Satellites. They traveled to Venezuela, the first time a [modern] Galician orchestra crossed the Atlantic. Upon returning from his tour through America, Los Satellites bring to the course of the festival, the power of tropical music, twenty years before that in New York were invented the word "salsa". Pucho, meanwhile, stayed in Venezuela. He returned to join again with Os Trovadores, who played in Madrid in the winter. With them, the first recorded discs. But it would be after its incorporation in the Tamara, called by Prudencio Romo, when would be popular and would become, as it says in the documentary in his honor: The crooner of the end of the world. He sang boleros, rancheras, tango, merengue and Italian song. He played at the Olympia in Paris, sharing the stage with Charles Aznavour and Jacques Brel. In Switzerland, among the immigrant communities, his voice starred in the revival of the song in Galician, a language prohibited [as language of science and culture] by the Franco dictatorship. He put music to lyrics by Curros Enriquez, Celso Emilio Ferreiro and Rosalia de Castro.

3Veni has been the resident band for Trini Revellers for many years now having taken the title of Best Cross Over Band on three occasions. The bands newest front line singer Santeney Rampersad proved he has what it takes to be just that — frontline — as he belted out some of the hottest soca and chutney soca for crowds overseas. He has also mastered several of the popular remixed tunes that have been produced in India. Frontline female vocalist Sarika Mahabir continues to be an eye catcher as she has been in demand in many countries of the world for interpretation of Bollywood tunes. She has been collaborating with Papa Steve (Houston Villaroel) for several performances overseas.According to Persad, the band still has a busy year before the Carnival Season rolls in, with Miami Carnival still to come and Thanksgiving in North America. However, he admits that he is anxious to perform before home crowds. There is no place like home and I really look forward to performing for the local fans, Persad said. The band started playing cross over music in 1996. They delved into calypso, reggae, hip-hop and soca. They acquired their first job that year in 1997 with Carnival Mas Band Rabs Immortal.Their efforts were recognised that year when they were awarded second best Sounding Band in downtown Carnival, Por-of-Spain.
