This is also a song that my mother requested. Incidentally, many people have told me they want me to sing this at their funeral. I'm like "Gee, okay..." There was a man I used to go to church with, though I barely knew him at all. But he enjoyed me singing this song a lot. There came a time when he had to have major surgery, and he requested I sing this song if he didn't make. And as it turned out, he didn't make it. Let me tell you, even for someone I barely knew, this is a hard song to get through at a funeral, let alone simply in church. I rather hope I die before all the people who have requested this of me. They can sing it at my funeral instead. :D This is far from my best performance. I botched the ending note, and the vocal is rough. But I still believe it can be beneficial to the listener. Besides, I don't want to record it again. It's difficult, dang it.:) I hope you're blessed.I dreamed of a city called GloryAnd it was so bright and so fairAs I entered the gates, I cried "Holy!"The angels all met me thereThey carried me from mansion to mansionAnd oh, the sights I sawBut I said I want to see JesusThe one who died for allThen I bowed on my knees and cried"Holy, Holy, Holy!"I clapped my hands and sang"Glory, Glory to the son of God!"When I entered the gates of that cityAll my loved one, they knew me wellThey took me down the streets of HeavenThe scenes too many to tellI saw Abraham, there was Jacob and IsaacTalked with Mark, sat down with TimothyOh, but I said, "Timothy,I want to see Jesus'Cause He's the one who died for me!"

I can't remember who recorded this one originally. But it's a soft, simple, prayerful song, and I like it.You satisfy my soulAnd I stand amazed at the blessing I've knownAnd still to this day the mercies you showMake it clear to see that you love meAnd you give each breath that I breatheYou color the sky with beauty for meYou've proven that you will provide for my needsThe way you fill me, LordHow could I ask for moreI'm satisfied, I'm satisfiedI've been cared for so faithfullyBut Lord hear my plea and may it beThat you're satisfied with meYou give me grace without endAnd you have forever removed all my sinAnd now the maker of Heaven and earth calls me friendAnd from the joy this bringsOh, how my spirit sings

This is an old song by The Martins. A good friend of mine, Joyce Field, used to sing this a lot, and I miss hearing her. It's such a prayerful song, and very powerful in its meaning. In and out of situations that tug-o-war in meAll day long i struggle with the answers that I needBut then I come into His presenceAnd all my questions become clearAnd in that sacred moment no doubt can interfereIn the presence of JehovahGod almighty, Prince of PeaceTroubles vanish, hearts are mendedIn the presence of the KingThrough His love the Lord provided a place for us to restA place to find the answers in the hour of distressNow there is never any reasonFor you to give up in despairJust slip away and breathe His nameHe will surely meet you there

This is my attempt at Mandisa's "God Speaking". I fell in love with this song the moment I heard it (incidentally, I heard it by Tishala - GrannyPanties30 - before I heard Mandisa do it). Again, I'm lazy, or I would re-record this one. My voice was very tired when I did this. But I couldn't resist it!Have you ever heard a love songThat set your spirit free?Have you ever watched a sunriseAnd felt you could not breathe? What if it's Him?What if it's God speaking?Have you ever cried a tearThat you could not explain?Have you ever met a strangerWho already knew your name? What if it's Him?What if it's God speaking?Who knows how he'll get a hold of usGet our attention to prove He is enoughHe'll do and He'll use whatever He wants toTo tell us "I love you."Have you ever lost a loved oneWho you thought should still be here?Do you know what it feels likeTo be tangled up in fear? What if He's somehow involved? What if He's speaking through it all?His ways are higherHis ways are betterThough sometimes strangeWhat could be stranger than God in a manger?
