On May 18, 2004 Clear Channel,Inc killed my favorite radio station 97.1 The Eagle. they flipped The Eagle to a Adult contemporary Oldies station that focus on hits from the 1960's to the 1980's known as "Sunny 97.1", it failed as it lasted a year and three months later, then 97.1 became a Mexican Oldies station under the name "La Preciosa", that too failed, so on December 1, 2007, They dumped the "La Preciosa" format after two years, 3 months and six days of having it, so they stunted by playing Christmas music until the morning of December 18, 2007 (they date they said when the stunting began was the day after Christmas) a message played poking fun at format changes on a radio station by pointing out radio station stereotypes when they started the end of the stunting (which the same message played again and again until 10:00 AM that morning) then at 9:59, they played a promo talking about the station's past 43 months on the air (almost 4 years to be exact) when talked about the two failed formats and the Christmas music stunting until they did the call letters at the end to reveal that my favorite Radio station The Eagle has been brought back from the dead. as you can see at the end of this video that the Eagle got a new logo. plus the audio of the return of The Eagle is from the website http://geocities.com/dallasrockradio/plus check out the newly revived Eagle at this website: http://www.kegl.comand here's the webstream of the station:http://www.kegl.com/cc-common/ondemand/player.html?world=stDue to chain letters and porn cam site spammers I have no choice but to make all comments posted here approve by me first before it's posted.
