~Marias POV~Joe asked me to dance!! Finally! Maybe this night wouldnt be so bad, after all. A slow song came on, this was perfect. I was gonna go out on the dance floor with him, and tell him how I really feel. Joe took my hand and we walked to the center of the floor. It was almost like everyone was watching, as we danced together, him holding me close. I spotted Elly, she looked really pissed. But nothing mattered right now, I was in his arms. Joe placed his arms on my waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck and we swayed with the music. The moment was perfect.It really sucked when the song ended. But then the DJ announced it was time to crown Prom King and Queen. I stood next to Elly who had her fingers crossed."Aaaaaand, prom king is..JOE JONAS!!" I watched Joe walk onstage and blow a kiss to Elly. Or was that to me? And then the DJ went to prom Queen. "Prom QUEEN is.ELLY ADAMS!!!!!" Elly rushed to the stage and Joe put his arm around her. He kissed her cheek, just as the tiara was placed on her head. I couldnt handle it. I ran out, crying.~Joes POV~I couldnt believe it! How more perfect could this night be? I looked out into the crowd. My eyes maneuvered around, but I didnt see Maria. Where did she go? I took Ellys hand in mine. "Elly, Ill be right back." But before she could answer, I ran away.I ran in and out of couples, and the music stopped. Everyone went quiet and I heard faint crying. I followed the noise and saw Maria sitting on a swing at the park in the back. I ran up to her and sat on the swing next to her."Whats wrong?" I asked silently.She immediately stopped crying when she realized I was there. She looked up and quickly wiped her eyes. "Nothing.""Sure doesnt seem like nothing. " I got up and sat in the two-seater swing and patted the spot next to me. Maria got up and sat down and I put my arms around her. "Whatever it was, is over.""No its not. Itll NEVER be over." This got me curious. What was she talking about?~Ellys POV~I was left onstage, steaming. I was pissed. Joes younger brother, Nick, came over to the stage and I kneeled down. "Whats going on?? Wheres Joe??""Beats me." Nick replied. I stood back up. Where was Joe? I took out my phone and tried calling him, but his phone was off. Where WAS HE?!?! I think everyone saw how angry I was, because there were a few chuckles. I yelled at the DJ to start up the music again, and he did. Thank God, no one payed any attention to me anymore. Well, Kevin did. Thats Joes older brother. He was "chaperoning" and he walked over to the stage."Wanna dance? You seem upset." He offered."No, Im fine. I just wanna know where Joe is!! Hes my KING!!!""I understand. Okay? Relax, please."I took a deep breath. "Okay. Im relaxed. NOW WHAT?!?!"~Marias POV~Just the fact that I was in Joes arms, made me feel so warm, and happy again. It felt so right, just the moment and all. He kissed my head."Remember when we were little, and we used to go up in our little tree house when we were so upset." He looked at me and smiled."Yeah, and that one time I broke my moms priceless crystal duck and I ran into the tree house and it was freezing out, and you brought me a thermos full of your homemade hot chocolate.""And it froze on us!!" We both laughed for a little and Joe held me closer, almost like he never wanted to let me go. It almost felt like he loved me back. But, he doesnt know that I love him, which totally sucks. I sniffled and looked up at Joe. His hair, so perfect. His eyes, that brown, like melted chocolate, made my heart melt right there. I never knew that it was possible to have feelings like this for your best friend. But not just any feelings, the feelings of the wanted and sexually attracted. His lips were just there, looking so soft and lonely. I just wanted to plant mine on top of his, so badly. He looked at me and I quickly realized I was staring. "Sorry." I apologized."For what?" He asked.Thats when I realized that he didnt actually know I was staring, and he didnt know what I was thinking about. "Nothing."~Joes POV~When Maria was in my arms, it felt good. It felt different, too. More different than how it felt with Elly. Her skin was soft and her face was glowing, she looked gorgeous. I had to admit it. She looked up and into my eyes and I got the chills throughout my body. Why was I feeling this way? I was supposed to love Elly!!I dont know why I did what I did, but I was trapped in the moment. I slowly leaned in and kissed her lips. The friendly kiss soon turned into a passionate one. Maria turned around to face me put her hands on my cheeks. I put my arm around her neck and slowly allowed my tongue into her mouth. I thought I heard someone walking toward us, but I ignored it, that was, of course, until they spoke."WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!?!" I looked up. It was Elly.
