Meyra is a turkish classical opera musician. Meyra's talent of music was discovered by the famous composer Avni Anıl, when she was 9. Upon this, Meyra started her academic music education at the age of 10, which was to last for 8 years in İTÜ Turkish Music State Conservatory. Meyra, who took her first steps of her career by back vocalling to some artists, made a successful start in music industry with her "Nurtopu" album when she was 18 and succeeded to reach to masses. Meyra, proceeded with her musical career with the academic opera education at "New World School of The Arts" during the 5 years she stayed in the United States. she achieved to develop her lyric soprano voice as an aria chanter, went on to improve her talents by collaborating with American musicians and performed successfully with English songs. Particularly, she succeeded to attract attention of Arif Mardin with her performance of the song named "Only when I Breath". Meyra returned to Turkey in 2003 and released her new album entitled "Başka Bir Kadın"(Another Woman)which had compositions and lyrics of Sezen Aksu, Aysel Gürel, Ümit Sayın, Zeynep Talu, and in which Özgür Buldum, Volga Tamöz, Aytuğ Yargıç and Alper Erinç created a strong impact with their exquisite arrangements. Meyra also sang the classic music named "Adagio" of Albinoni, which was created in the 1600s, in Turkish and Italian with opera-singing technique. Classical pop song entitled "Sana ne Kime ne" by Ajda Pekkan was also covered by Meyra in the album and elicited intense acclamation. she also took steps in acting in 2007. Meyra, who proved her talent in acting by starring in series entitled "Şöhret Okulu" and "Ateşten Koltuk", has revealed her enthusiasm in going further in her career in this field as well. Meyra preformed as a musical star in the musical entitled "Rock on Broadway", took a strong step in her career, which gave her the satisfaction of fulfillment of a dream.
