UPLODADED WITH PERMISSION GIVEN BY CROATIA RECORDS/CROATIAN ROOTS MUSICSIRENS FROM THE RIVER DRAVAEthno Ensemble JENDRIN SKRILAK (tr. Jendra's Hat) recorded the music video for the announcing song of their first album, song Dravske Sirene (tr. Sirens from the River Drava), in which as guests apperaing Croatian vocalist Arsen Dedic and female vocal ensemble Durdevcice. Music and arrangement of the song are written by band's leader Davor Jendresic-Jendra and the lyrics are written by Rajko Stilinovic. The song's video is historically inspired, and recorded by Marko Dimic on several Croatian locations: near the River Drava next to the city of Durdevac, on the ruins on Mountain of Kalnik near the city of Krizevci and in the tavern "Pod Starim Krovovima" (tr. Under The Old Roofs). The story of the video is put into current time but interweaving with history. The singer Arsen Dedic is main actor of the video who, through the song, remembers the time of World War II when he was a young man, having a girlfiend, but who he has lost as she was raped and killed by soldiers and then whose ghost was associated to the sirens of Drava (in this video - sirens are the members of vocal ensemble Durdevcice, all dressed in black)...Album "Jendra's Hat" is recorded in December 2007, and as project includes 13 pop-songs with folk-elements from continental Croatia. Music arrangement picture is coloured with old, authentic, autochthonous instruments.
