In 2008, it consists of 64 characters accepted from Japan's Anime Saimoe Tournament, Korea's Best Moe Tournament, and Korea's Super Best Moe Tournament of the previous year, plus nominated characters to fill up the available slots. Starting April 1st, 2008 until August 18th, 2008, all 64 characters went through 63 matches with each of the other contestants, and the final 16 ranked character will advance to the finals, which takes the form of double elimination. There is no registration. Just simply vote once per match; multiple votes will be discarded. Come by and support you favorite characters or just have fun, and remember, your vote will help decide who is the character worthy to place herself high above others. For more information, please refer to the website posted above.If you still have no clue what is going on, then there is a chance that you do not understand the term "Saimoe" or "moe." By definition, "moe" is derived from the verb "moeru", to burn with passion, and "sai" means ultimate. In short, Saimoe is a tournament to determine the most moe character, the cutest, prettiest, or simply most loved character.
