Francisco Tarrega (1852-1909) was born in Villareal, Spain.He suffered an accident when a child, falling into a ditch ,which impaired his eyesight, but he began to study Guitar and Piano. He ran away at age 10, to play in the cafes of Barcelona, but his father brought him back.. he also ran away twice more , on one occasion playing with a band of Gypsys. Years later the now Famous Composer/performer toured Europe with his 'Torres' guitar, performing in London in 1881. He wasnt too happy in England, he later said that he 'disliked the language and the weather'. While in England A friend asked him 'Maestro, why are you so sad? Tarrega replied that he was homesick and missed his Family..so the friend said he should capture his sadness in music- Lagrima was the result.Sorry about the audio levels- however sounds ok if you lower the volume slider.
