ZHANG:And people in the German city of Munich are gearing up for one of the busiest, and arguably jolliest, times of the year. The Oktoberfest beer festival is set to begin tomorrow, attracting millions from around the world.STORY: The people of Munich are preparing to host the world's most famous beer festival. For two weeks from Saturday the city will be buzzing with people visiting the 175th Oktoberfest in the capital city of Bavaria. The manager of the event, Gabriele Weishaeupl said she is expecting around six million visitors at this year's festival.[Gabriele Weishaeupl Oktoberfest Boss]:"We are expecting satisfied visitors and shows, if the weather plays along. We will welcome people from all over the world. It is mainly a festival for the people of Munich, but also a big festival for the world."It's a two-century-old tradition, from when Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese got married in a meadow near Munich and invited all of Bavaria to celebrate with feasting, music, horse races, dancing and beer drinking. Here the final preparations were being carried out, with stall owners perfectingtheir layout and the first mini-beers being sampled by the mayor of the city. The first liter of beer will be poured on Saturday at a traditional ceremony to officially open the world's biggest folk festival.
