My name is Tyrone Whiting, a 19 year old first year student at Trinity College of Music, Greenwich, London, UK. This recording was made on 31.05.2008, when I was 18.As part of the Ealing Organ Series of Recitals, I performed this improvisation at St. Mary's Church Ealing, London, UK. The audience were given a pen and paper to write down ideas for the improvisation. This could be notation, words and phrases, or even pictures. Many different ideas were chosen at random from the suggestions including: Stormy Weather, The sound of the organ excelling in joy, a picture of a horse (leading to the terrible William Tell theme, played AWFULLY first time round, (apologies), and many others.
