Greenhouse Effect are the kings of Google. 40,000,000 Song plays and now their videos even on Youtube, Revver, Meta Cafe,Veoh ..and other sites are beginning to grow in Views !! "Its taken a while" says Clark Hagins..."but we've got like a couple of tracks on youtube with like 15,000 plays...Youtube is tough,..alot of the bands on there pay out for phoney hits and plays using robots and payola n' shit...ya know 'shit bands on major labels n' all that shit..,..I don't do that - I just use tags...People like G.e. because the music's good and thats the reason - THATS ALL - and THAT feels good!"For Greenhouse Effect 'getting discovered' and being seen by the World has been no easy task,..Says Hagins; "Up until 2007 and 2008, most of the world didn't know who G.e. was as i just gave up and quit music back in 92'... - (I've never exactly been a guy who gets alot of help from the music industry!!),..the internet has changed all that,..now EVERYBODY does!! (much of the world knows who we are AND whats better - they know the whole grunge story now) ,..and it just feels great!" This tight loud version of their song "Waiting for your Love to Fail!" was recorded in 1991(Aug) in Los Angeles (Hermosa Beach). Says Hagins; "Back in the South Bay, it was difficult for G.e. We had HUGE ambitions to take over all of rock - we had great ideas.. but all i got was tons of resistance from everyone and everywhere i went - particularly from my own family, and it was tough to get a gig as few accepted us So I had to make up my own concerts and ideas for festivals n all that - thats where alot of the Wilson Park ideas were born...People would say things like 'theres 10,000 bands out there tryin' to make it and 'you'll' never make it...most of the people sayin' this shit are just like these ordinary fuckers - they didn't understand that the whole concept of G.e. is based on the fact that we are unusual, we took risks and were different from the rest of the pack - i think they may have thought that we were just another band trying to fit in..,..well,they don't try anything new - who say stuff,..they just follow follow - they're used to that shit type of wrythm,..they need to put their beer or joint down and try reading a book,..maybe after a week of being sober (Laughs)...they should read Psychological Nudity by Michael Savage..they need to read some stories,..perhaps then, they can TELL SOME of their own,...that would be interesting !!THEY NEED REAL ART !! We desperately need storytellers in America right now - we got too many followers - WE NEED REAL LEADERS !! If i would have listened to those people back in the South Bay, there would be no G.e. ...all i see back in the South Bay is a buncha punk bands that all sound the same and they think its cool to all act the same,..a buncha blues bands that all sound the same,..a buncha emo and metal bands that all sound the same,..and a buncha country bands that all sound the same ; THATS BORE-ING !! THATS WHAT KROQ DOES NOW with radio - and 91-x,..they've taken the art out of music and they've just killed it,..and now it sucks,..we need a return to diverse music in this country...that doesn't all sound like the same old run of the mill fucking weak standard issue SHIT !! Typical-ness and category's are just so Fucked man !! People are so brainwashed - they don't even know that they Fucking suck !wHATS really pathetic and sad now,..is people actually think 'yer' the dick now ..if you try to stand out and be different ! ..it sucks how so many people are afraid of change and they just wanna all be the same as they try to convince you how diverse they are and how into 'change' that they are when really THEY'RE FUCKING FULL OF EMPTY SHIT !! They ain't got nuthin' ...they got friends in high places or a record deal...but in reality, they ain't shit,...atleast not compared to my shit ! Note; That phase of G.e. beginning in Sept of 1990 which had Hagins suddenly on guitar is critical as is seen at the Hermosa Saloon priceless footage from August 16, 1991 - before anyone heard of Nirvana or 'Alternative rock' ...Ge was already there and saying to everyone that it was gonna be bigtime and how it was 'the future' of music (Hagins; ..and they said i was full of shit - that metal would rule for ever)...why, JUST GO TO TUBBY'S IN TORRANCE AND ASK ALL OF THEM' THEY'LL TELL YOU !! when we all saw bands like nirvana and all that stuff in like nov of 91'...they were like; "oh shit..those bands look like you shark,..theres yer band"
