SYNTHE- Caroline Cooren, Director of communication at Habitat DOPESHEETSince 1964 Habitat has revolutionised interior design, unceasingly capturing the essence of each season, incorporating them in their furniture and objects. For Fall 2008/09 three life styles have been proposed to satisfy the wants and needs of every individual.INTERVIEW (in french) with Caroline Cooren, Director of communication at Habitat "This collection was composed around an instantaneous theme. As always at Habitat I would say the idea is to present lifestyles, to propose trendy suggestions but which identify with each person. So weve presented three ambiances which are all very different as you can see here. One of the ambiances which is behind me is an Objects and Lines look with minimal design, the second ambiance we call Eclectic Chic and its a bit more classic, a bit more baroque, then finally an ambiance which we call Bohemian Design which is really typical of us with pieces of design, souvenirs of travels, and always in strong, dynamic colours. There are materials like patent leather which already returned several collections ago and which gets tougher with black. We have lots of slightly newer things like the metal chairs which with new, slightly high-tech, and modern fibres. Of course as always with Habitat we have massive oak trees, beautiful wood, and very classic products. I think we have an interesting balance of new materials, poly carbonates, and new plastics which have now completely entered interior design now but also more traditional things quote on quote, authentic materials which will last the test of time and which our public are already familiar with."Music - Artist: The Concretes ; album: In colour ; song: Fiction ; Ref: EMI
