The first in a series of videos I plan on posting, this is a "rough draft" (a VERY rough draft) of sorts for this piece, which I plan on playing for my EMU music school audition in January. The other piece I plan on playing is Cantabile et Presto by Enesco, though that depends on how often I get to practice it. My backup pieces are the Faure Fantasie (which I played 2 years ago for S&E) and Danse de la Chevre by Honegger (which I played last year for S&E). A couple of things about this video: Constructive criticism is GREATLY appreciated, especially since I'm possibly in the process of finding a new flute teacher and will not have any lessons until I find one.Also, some things will sound a bit bizarre that are truly not my fault, because just before I shot this, I discovered that my flute had a messed up key and had to use my old one, which I haven't used in a very long time. I'm not trying to blame the flute, though, especially since I'm sure that if you know enough about flute, you'll know what is from the flute and what's from me. Though I definitely don't mind you telling me I sound horrible anyways, because I probably need to be told that. ;) And lastly, since I haven't practiced this barely at all, the tempo is quite fast, it rushes pretty badly, notes are off, etc. So don't expect too much. =P
