The Pannonia Trio was founded in 2006. The members formed the Trio during their studies at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest.They performed at dinners and receptions at the luxury Hotels of Budapest.The Pannonia Trio has a wide repertory from the classical favorites to the Jazzy tunes.Réka flutist was born on December 14, 1981, in Budapest. She began her professional musical studies with the distinguished flutist Ákos Dratsay at the world-famous Kodály School in Kecskemét, Hungary.She won first prize in the Zoltán Jeney National Flute Contest in 2000.For this performance she was admitted to the Liszt Acadamy of Music Budapest without entrance examination. At the Liszt Academy Réka studied flute under Professor Lóránt Kovács. As Erasmus scholar she studied also at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano, Switzerland. She obtained her "Master of Music" degree in 2005. Réka was accepted to several notable orschestras, such as the Europian Union Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra, the Trainer Orchestra of the Teatro Lirico Sperimentale di Sploeto, and the Bartók-Kodály World Orchestra conducted by Tamás Vásáry. Réka is currenty student of the Swedish National Orchestra Academy in Gothenburg in cooperation of the Göteborgs Symfoniker and the Göteborgs Operan.Gergő composer and pianist was born in 1976 in Dunaújváros, Hungary.He started playing the piano and composing at an early age but did not study harmony and counterpoint until the age of 15. He began his extensive musical studies at the Leó Weiner Secondary School of Music in Budapest in both majors: piano and composition. After the secondary school he continued his studies at the Ferenc Liszt Music Teacher Training College in Pécs,while at the same time frequenting the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest,where he studied composition under well-known composers, like Emil Petrovics and László Vidovszky. Since graduating with a diploma in piano teaching (in 2002)and composition (2005),he works as piano teacher and correpetitor at the Weiner Secondary School of Music. He is also active on the Hungarian theater scene; he works as composer and music consultant at the József Katona Theater in Budapest.Orsolya cellist was born in 1981 in Budapest. She began to play the violoncello at an early age, attending the Zoltán Kodály Hungarian Choir School and continuing at the Béla Bartók Vocational School of Music. In 2006 she gained her diploma at the Franz Liszt Academy, studying with Prof. István Csurgay. She won third prize in the Otto Kertész Competition. She has pursued a deep interst in contemporary works, giving several Hungarian premieres, and is active as an orchestral and chamber musician in addition to her solo career.From September 2006 to June 2007, she has performed with Pannonia Duo during a six month contract period with the five star Windsor Hotel International in Hokkaido, Japan.Her playing has taken her also to Switzerland, England, Luxemburg,Wienna, perfoming with different ensembles and solo.Currently she is studying in Sweden with prof. Harro Ruijsenaars.
