Prelude No. 4 by Frederic Mompou. Lorna Pollock, piano. Federico (Frederic) Mompou (April 16, 1893-June 30, 1987) was a Spanish Catalan composer. He is best known for his solo piano music and his songs. He is one of my favorite composers. He was born in Barcelona, Spain and his mother was French. He studied piano in Paris and in Spain. I enjoy an excellent Mompou CD by Jordi Maso - his interpretations are beautiful and sensitive. I am so enamored of this music that I wish to learn and play all the Mompou pieces that are within my skill level. Thank you for listening.However, my playing of this piece needs more polish. I am currently working on it. Have been listening to Jordi play it and can hear what I need to do. I will be replacing this video soon with a better version.

Gymnopedie No. 3 by Erik Satie. Lorna Pollock, piano. I made this video after listening several times to my Satie CD by Aldo Ciccolini. I increased the reverb to imitate Ciccolini's full grand piano sound, but a digital piano is simply not an acoustic piano, so . . . I still play at it daily and in just a year's time of playing after not playing for 41 years, I am encouraged. After all, it's for my own amusement! Thanks for listening!

The sound is better - I put a piece of tape over the camera's mic. I continue to practice this piece.
