There are several "syndromes" I've come up with while playing Rock Band. One is Shockwave syndrome, where a song for half off or free is incredibly fun on most or all instruments. Another is Electric Version syndrome where, while the song may not be bad, is a bore to play because it's the same damn thing over and over again.And then comes Black Hole Sun syndrome. This applies to songs that are incredibly boring (musically or how they're charted) but end up having a choketakular solo or riff several minutes into the song. The effects of this particular problem are enhanced or weakened depending on how good the music itself is. Typically, I'll end up giving up trying to FC a song like this around the fourth run because it's so god-damn boring. Which is why I'm happy I got this FC out of the way (and 6th on the leaderboards too!)

Broken Drumby Matthew BurtnerPerformed by Morris Palterat the University of KentuckySingletary Center for the ArtsApril 11, 2007This piece was composed in 2004 for brake drum and computer.(Notes from the composer)I found a car "brake drum" on the side of the road and decided to make this bit of car wreckage into a musical instrument. The metamorphosis from garbage into sonic art object attracted me. Musically the piece focuses on two ideas: 1) the acoustic sonorities of the brake drum, and 2) the "broken drum" metaphor represented by rhythmic systems that in various ways are imperfectly constructed or disintegrated through cross-polymetric relationships. The piece was written for Morris Palter.Morris is the Artistic Director of Ensemble 64.8 (UAF percussion ensemble), the Artistic Director for the University of Alaska Fairbanks New Music Festival, the World Music Artistic Coordinator for the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival, and the Co-Artistic Director for the SoundON Modern Music Festival held each year in San Diego.More info about Morris Palter at:http://morrispalter.com/Please check out more videos in my channel!

see deep enough and you'll see musically...that's so true...so true.I downloaded this film before a couple days and it really changed me.Such music.I knew Sigur Ros a couple of years,but yesterday there was like 'boom - what's that?!'.They made a free ture in their country - Iceland,there was concerts just like standing somewhere outside,in factory ore like (you'll see in this short amw ) near some old house...So natural.Simple.I made this amw because i was amazed by 'Heima' film and there was moments that were unreal like a man ,who was picking stones and them made an instrument of them - music from nowhere,but so damn good.And in the end i would like to say ,taht this film and Sigur Ros music is one of the greatest music icons.
