Well, it's been 3 weeks since I last posted and I've been learning for 5 weeks in total now but I've not been able to play much in the last few weeks due to getting ready to move house next week.Rather than go much longer without posting I thought I'd write a little something of my own to play through. It's no Mike Portnoy epic but it hopefully shows:a) I can use all of the kit quite comfortably now.b) My wrist action/grip is improving.c) I have new sticks which are much better (American Hickory Travis Barker Zildjian's rather that the balsa wood sticks that came with the kit).As always I didn't go for a great take, I just played it and recorded it, warts and all. The only real points I can spot are:a) Clumsy move into the main groove after the tom intro.b) Missing the final 8th note Ride hit around 30secsc) A general spaz for a beat or two around 38 seconds.Need to work on switching parts smoothly :)The next video will likely be end of July as I'll need to settle from the move and actualy learn something worth posting (will definately be another full song cover).Thanks for checking this out, comments and feedback welcome as always :o)
