Cantotumbao es un ensamble de percusiones y cantos de La Tierra que se integra en Mexicali BC Mexico en diciembre del anio 2006 por Antonio Almanza y Liz Avila. Posteriormente se unen Alberto Heredia y Alan Martinez en tambores y percusiones. Las letras de Liz son vivenciales, experiencias del convivio con la belleza de la naturaleza. Cantos libres, calidos y energicos, de amor y protesta, que se fusionan con ritmos afrolatinos, tanto tradicionales como contemporáneos. Utilizan percusiones del mundo, desde la bateria acustica hasta instrumentos etnicos para expresar un sonido natural y organico. Cantotumbao se inspira en los elementos de la naturaleza e incorpora a su musica danza de fuego acrobatica, realizada por Lucia Gomez "Chia" y Mario Payro, quienes proponen la parte visual del espectaculo. _____________________________________________________________ Cantotumbao is a percussion ensemble and chants of the Earth formed in Mexicali BC Mexico in december 2006 by Antonio Almanza (percussion) and Liz Avila (voice). Then, Alberto Heredia and Alan Martinez join the band in drums and percussions. The lyrics of Liz are living experiences, in harmony with the beauty of nature. Warm and energetic freedom chants, of love and protest, that blends with afrolatin rhythms, both traditional and contemporary. The band uses world percussions, from drumset to ethnic instruments that expresses a natural and organic sound. Cantotumbao is inspired by elements of nature and incorporates to its music acrobatic fire dance, performed by Lucia Gomez "Chia" and Mario Payro, as the visual act of the show.
